Metals for Automobiles

●Materials for resistors

【Features】

  • ・This clad metal features high heat conductivity combined with low thermal expansion property.
  • ・The coefficient of thermal expansion of this alloy can be controlled by changing the sheet thickness ratio.

【Materials】

  • ・NC (Nickel-Copper Alloys)
  • ・NRH (Nickel-Chromium Alloys)
  • ・MC (Copper-Manganese Alloys)

Electric Resistance Properties

A wide range of resistor materials are available.
As can be seen in the table above, alloys NC-150, NRH-51, MC-1, MC-2, etc. have particularly low TCR.

【Usage example 1】

[Chip resistors・Shunt resistors]
Electric resistance materials for current sensing(NC, NRH, MC)

We produce a wide variety of electric resistance materials, ranging from low resistance (approx. 5×10-8Ω・m) through high resistance (approx. 130×10-8Ω・m) types. One-by-one processing is negotiable. These materials are ideal for metal resistors to detect electrical current in batteries.

【Usage example 2】

Ultrathin resistance foils
These materials can be produced at sheet thicknesses starting at a few micrometers; they are suitable for applications as strain gauges and resistors.
